Are you considering pregnancy? Are you interested in preparing your body and mind for optimal health and wellness throughout the perinatal journey? Each session (1.5-2 hours) is individually tailored to a family’s needs with a focus centering on nutrition, movement, stress reduction, and partnership building.
Pre-conception consultation includes:
- An initial phone meeting to discuss goals, timelines, challenges, and needs.
- An in person meeting at the ILM Birth office to review recommendations and build a plan for success.
- A final phone meeting to check in, make adjustments, and celebrate strong work!

Midwifery Model of Care Prenatal and Postpartum Care for Planned Hospital Birth
- Email, text, and phone support from the time of hire through early postpartum. Address questions, concerns, pregnancy discomforts, communication, and more from the Midwifery perspective. Receive recommendations and solutions based on Midwifery expertise and tradition.
- Comprehensive prenatal visits following a regular obstetric visit schedule in conjunction with your hospital based OB/GYN or Midwife prenatal visits. Keep your regular prenatal appointments with your hospital based care provider, and supplement them with prenatal meetings based on in-home Midwifery care. One hour meetings once a month at the ILM Birth office up to 28 weeks gestation, then one hour meetings every two weeks up to 40 weeks gestation, then visits every 3-5 days as needed until labor commences.
- Up to four one hour comprehensive postpartum visits in home to evaluate and support the postpartum person and baby, and make recommendations based on the Midwifery model of care.
Investment: $500 initial visit, $200/prenatal office visit, $300/in home visit
